Job Summary

Roles/Responsibilities:

The District seeks resource(s) that will perform the required work closely with LAUSD project team members and perform below responsibilities:

- Installing configuring and troubleshooting local area networks wireless networks VoIP systems IP Public Address/Intercom and IP Video Camera systems.
- Configuring a variety of networking equipment.
- Analyzing and solving networking problems.
- Reviewing and evaluating IT system designs for compliance with industry standards.
- Conducting site surveys and on-site assessments and preparation of design/scope of-work (SOW) for installations.
- Preparing clear and concise reports and technical documentation.
- Formulating and expressing ideas clearly and effectively in writing and orally.
- Setting priorities and successfully completing tasks in a timely manner.
- Related tasks:
Conduct site surveys
Develop scopes of work
Create bill of material
Accept equipment deliveries at warehouse
Create asset workbooks o Generate e-mails of status completions
Rearranging Network equipment o Install power equipment (UPS/Stepdown Transformers)
Install and configure network switches modules cards etc o Install and configure IP converged system equipment
Install Cat6e/Fiber patch Cords o Troubleshoot LAN equipment
- Maintain effective relationships with District personnel and other organizations.
- A California Drivers license use of a car and be able to carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- A California Drivers license and use of a car

Mandatory Skills:

Proposed candidate must have at least 3 years of experience providing services as listed in sow (installing/configuring low-voltage IT systems)
Proposers resource must have a minimum of an active CCNA certificate.
Submit relevant certifications special skills and proficiencies.

Desirable Skills:

Proposed candidate shall have 3 years of experience installing and configuring low voltage IT systems.
Experience in the following area(s) is preferred:

Genetec Omnicast Certification
Genetec Synergis Certification
BICSI RCDD Certification
1 year in the following areas:
1. Genetec Security Center 5.11 or newer
2. Cisco or HP Enterprise Network Configuration
3. Cisco and Aruba Local Wireless Controller
4. Cisco VoIP and CUCM
5. Valcom IP Public Address
6. DMP(Digital Monitoring Products)

Good verbal and written communication skills.
