Job Summary

Salary: $ 22 50 hr/W2 (Contract to hire)

We have partnered with a manufacturer of aluminum castings in the Clifton NJ area to provide them with a Shipping Clerk. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Shipping Clerk:

#1. 5 years of shipping warehouse or logistics experience (manufacturing environment preferred but considered required for this search)

#2. Experience preparing shipping documentation (Bills of Lading packing slips shipping labels)

#3. ERP system experience (Epicor strongly preferred)

#4. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and MS Office

#5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment

#6. Experience operating or certified to operate a forklift

#7 Strong attention to detail with ability to work under deadlines

#8 Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities of the Shipping Clerk:

This role supports production and logistics by ensuring finished products are packaged documented and shipped accurately and on schedule. The position plays an important part in maintaining efficient operations between manufacturing warehouse and customers.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and package finished goods for shipment
Generate and verify shipping documentation (packing slips bills of lading labels)
Coordinate pickups with freight carriers and logistics providers
Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
Enter shipping information into ERP or warehouse systems
Maintain inventory of packaging and shipping materials
Keep shipping areas organized and compliant with safety standards
Support receiving and general warehouse operations when required

Other Key Requirements:

100% onsite
