Position: Antenna & EMC Simulation Engineer
Location Raymond OH
Duration: Full time/Direct Hire
Description
Lead the simulation and analysis of vehicle-mounted antennas across multiple frequency bands to ensure optimal RF performance.
Conduct electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) studies to evaluate interactions between antennas vehicle structures and electronic systems.
Develop and validate full-vehicle electromagnetic models including antennas cables housings and surrounding environments.
Perform parametric studies and design optimization to improve antenna efficiency radiation patterns isolation and compliance with EMC requirements.
Collaborate with cross functional teams (antenna design electrical mechanical and systems engineering) to support design decisions and resolve and evaluate EMC-related issues.
Correlate simulation results with measurement and test data providing technical reports and recommendations.
Required Software Proficiency
Ansys HFSS
3D full-wave electromagnetic simulation (Ansys Electronics Desktop (AEDT))
Antenna design and optimization
Vehicle-level RF and EMC/EMI analysis
S-parameters radiation patterns near- and far-field analysis
Ansys Discovery
Rapid electromagnetic exploration and early stage design studies
Geometry simplification and quick design iteration
Concept validation prior to detailed HFSS simulations
Additional Preferred Tools (Optional)
CAD tools (e.g. CATIA SolidWorks) for geometry integration
Data analysis tools (e.g. MATLAB Python) for post-processing and automation
