Security Officer Perimeter Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Driver in Suffolk VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location you will spend much of your shift on the move completing vehicle and foot patrols checking key areas and responding to alarms and service requests. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU driver policy requirements. Bring strong communication and customer service while you help keep daily operations running smoothly with integrity and teamwork.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including requesting assistance from appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government transportation facilities grounds parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
• Control access by monitoring entrances verifying credentials as required directing visitors and/or contractors and documenting entries and exits according to post orders.
• Complete security-related reports incident documentation and shift logs and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
