Job Summary

Job Description

The Clerk Typist will be responsible for performing various clerical and typing tasks to support the administrative functions of the organization. The role will involve accurately typing correspondence reports and other documents as well as maintaining records and files.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Typing and proofreading various documents including letters reports and memos
  • Organizing and maintaining physical and electronic files
  • Answering phone calls taking messages and directing calls to appropriate personnel
  • Assisting with data entry tasks
  • Performing general clerical duties such as photocopying faxing and scanning
  • Ensuring confidentiality of all information by following organization policies
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient office operations

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in typing and word processing software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written

Desired Experience:

The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role with a demonstrated ability to handle clerical tasks efficiently.
