Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) with experience in Medical Surgical and Telemetry care to join a busy acute care hospital unit. The LPN will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the healthcare team to provide quality patient care monitor patient conditions administer medications and assist with clinical procedures.
Shift & Scheduling
Schedule: 4x12-hour night shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if required
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Required License & Certifications
Active New York LPN License (Single State NY is not compact)
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
Required Clinical Experience
Acute Care experience within the last 2 years
Ability to manage own patient assignment with RN support
Clinical Skills Required

Intake and output monitoring
Isolation precautions
Physical restraints
Specimen labeling and collection
Oxygen administration via nasal cannula
Feeding tube management
Monitoring & Diagnostics
Telemetry monitoring
12-Lead EKG
Blood glucose monitoring
Medication Administration
Oral medications
Intramuscular (IM) injections
Subcutaneous (SQ) injections
NG/G-tube medication administration
Ear and eye drop administration
IV therapy using pumps
Nursing Procedures
Basic wound care and dressing changes
JP / Hemovac drain management
Foley catheter insertion (male & female)
Clean catch urine collection
Bathing and oral care
Communicating patient status changes to RN and physicians
