About the department:

You will be working in a cross-functional team using agile methodologies to build cloud native applications for the financial services industry. We are looking for true team players who can work beyond their specialty to help the team deliver. Every team member is responsible for the quality of the product and should be willing to work on any tasks needed be it front-end back end test automation deployment automation etc. The successful candidate will use their experience and talent to help drive the delivery of the system introduce new tech and guide the evolution of our applications.

Your Role:

• Own and drive the end-to-end test strategy for the data marketplace platform covering UI API data integrity and cloud infrastructure layers
• Design build and maintain robust automated test suites for a React-based web application ensuring coverage across functional regression integration and end-to-end scenarios
• Validate data accuracy and integrity across marketplace data flows from ingestion pipelines through to client-facing presentation layers
• Lead API testing efforts across RESTful services and AWS-hosted microservices ensuring reliability and correctness for external client consumption
• Define and execute performance and load testing strategies appropriate for a globally distributed external-client platform
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines on AWS (e.g. CodePipeline Jenkins) ensuring fast feedback loops and release confidence
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers; conduct peer reviews of test artifacts and automation code
• Collaborate closely with product owners developers and UX designers to embed quality early in the development process (shift-left)
• Contribute to QA practice evolution introduce new tools frameworks and approaches that raise the bar for the team
• Communicate test results risks and quality metrics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including product leadership
• Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot ChatGPT) to accelerate test development and problem-solving
• Stay current on emerging technologies and proactively identify opportunities to apply them within Citcos ecosystem

About You:

• You must have 5 years of professional hands-on experience across the full SDLC of enterprise application development with at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA capacity
• 3 years of hands-on test automation experience using frameworks such as Playwright Cypress Selenium or similar with demonstrated experience testing React web applications
• Proven experience testing AWS-hosted applications familiarity with services such as S3 Lambda API Gateway RDS CloudWatch or similar
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation; Python is a plus
• Solid API testing experience using tools such as Postman REST Assured or equivalent
• Strong SQL and data validation skills ability to query and verify data across relational and/or cloud-based data stores
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions AWS CodePipeline Jenkins or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to write clean maintainable and scalable automation code
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies software version control (Git) and agile delivery practices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills comfortable presenting quality metrics and risk assessments to non-technical audiences
• Experience using AI coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot ChatGPT) to enhance productivity and problem-solving

Nice to have:

• 2 years of experience in financial services; exposure to Alternative Investments data platforms or client-facing financial products is a strong asset
• Experience testing data marketplace data pipeline or data product platforms
• Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (JMeter k6 Gatling or similar) in a cloud context
• Exposure to security and compliance testing considerations relevant to external-client financial platforms
• Experience with accessibility testing for web applications (WCAG standards)
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g. AWS CloudWatch Datadog) as part of a quality strategy

Salary Range: CAD $120000 - CAD $150000
