Sentara Brock Cancer Center in Norfolk is looking to hire a Security Officer.
Schedule: Monday- Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm
The Security Officer provides a physically safe and secure environment for patients visitors and employees at Sentara Hospitals and Free-standing Emergency Departments.
The Security Officer actively patrols campus and monitors activity in and around buildings and grounds and responds appropriately to routine and emergency situations. This individual performs camera surveillance maintains department logs and records uses computer skills for documentation of daily activities conducts security investigations evaluates situations and takes appropriate steps for professional and timely resolution.
The Security Officer provides a physically safe and secure environment for patients visitors and employees at Sentara Facilities. The Security Officer actively patrols campus clinics and monitors activity through various methods and means.
To bolster safety and security for our patients and team members Sentara has implemented a Fit for Duty assessment to ensure that our officers meet a minimum standard of fitness.
The four-part assessment includes a response walk a stair climb a drag to safety and a lift.
Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) and Handle with Care certification required within 90 days of hire.
Education:
High School Diploma
Certification:
Valid Drivers license
Certified Healthcare Security Officer (CHSO) and Handle with Care certification required within 90 days of hire.
Experience:
1 year of Security experience required
