Job Summary

Introduction:

This position has the responsibility to lead warehouse personnel and daily functions. It has the responsibility to fulfill and delegate duties on a daily basis amongst the warehouse team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise train and provide daily guidance to warehouse employees.
Maintain flexibility in work hours to accommodate various shifts.
Responsible for accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
Process orders as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse.
Ensure all warehouse equipment is in safe and operational condition and promote safe behavior.
Maintain open communications with management on all pertinent warehouse or employee concerns.
Assist management in development of new ways to improve overall efficiency.
Understand embrace and encourage the fulfillment of our Mission Statement with all associates.
Manage GS1 product setup operations with System Analyst Customer Service Lead.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

Some college preferred.
Must have knowledge of distribution and inventory practices preferably in food service.
Adept with truck building for multi-stop routes.
Strong inter-personal skills demonstrating the ability to lead manage direct motivate and develop associates.
PC skills in Excel Word and an inventory software system (AS 400 a plus).
Experience in a fast paced high pressure environment.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to safely operate all warehouse tools and equipment including forklift and pallet truck.
Must have and maintain forklift certification.
Previous warehouse freezer experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to continuously walk the warehouse floor cooler and freezer for an extended period of time.
Ability to bend reach and also to lift up to 100 lbs.
Warehouse environment with noise dust odors and a diversity from very warm to very cold temperatures.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disability to perform the essential functions.
