Job Summary
GENERAL LINE WORKER JOB DESCRIPTION
Employee: Line Worker II
Position: Production / General Line Worker
Skill Set(s): Mathematics Reading Proficiency
Education: High School Equivalent
Pay: hourly; non-exempt
Job Duties and Qualifications
Works in all production areas; EXTREMELY cold and EXTREMELY hot environments Documentation Must be able to perform repetitive work Reports food and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action Supports pre-op and daily operations Maintains clean & organized workspace Consistently produces quality products in an efficient effective manner Maintains a fast speed Sorts food to customer specifications including weight Packs bags into boxes sealing boxes palletizing and shrink wrapping Ability to work with industrial and/or dangerous machinery Follows all facility safety and security procedures Arrives on time for the shift and stays until shift completion
Required Skills/Abilities
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Thorough understanding of safety and health laws regulations and policies
Thorough understanding of raw materials production processes quality control cost management and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques
One year experience as a Line Worker I or equivalent
Physical Requirements
Ability to work on your feet for most of the shift
Capable of lifting 65 pounds
Good hygiene and appropriate apparel
