About the OpportunitySwansea Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Principal of Joseph Case Junior High School. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a school serving students during the critical middle-level years and to build a strong academic and social foundation for future are looking for a leader who understands the unique needs of adolescent learners and who is committed to continuing to foster a school culture where all students feel supported challenged and the SchoolJoseph Case Junior High School serves students in grades 68 and plays a vital role in preparing students for success at the high school level. The school has a dedicated staff active extracurricular programs and a strong partnership with families and the Swansea successful candidate will be a leader who: Lead with a strong focus on instructional excellenceUnderstand middle-level education and adolescent developmentPromote and support a positive respectful and inclusive school cultureUse data-driven decision making to support student growthFoster collaboration among teachers and staffEngage families and the broader community as partners in educationResponsibilitiesProvide leadership in curriculum instruction and assessmentSupervise and evaluate faculty and staffLead school improvement planning and implementationMaintain a positive and supportive school environmentOversee daily operations including scheduling discipline and safetySupport student engagement through academic and extracurricular programsBuild strong partnerships with families and the communityOtherQualificationsMassachusetts Principal/Assistant Principal License (58 or 512) or eligibility requiredMasters Degree in Education Educational Leadership or related field (CAGS or Doctorate preferred)Successful teaching and leadership experience at the middle or secondary levelKnowledge of middle school instructional practices and adolescent developmentStrong leadership communication and organizational skills
