The Role
Are you a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who thrives on solving the hardest problems in complex machinery and automation Do you want to build bespoke world-class production lines that produce millions of products globally Facteona leader in advanced manufacturing and a cornerstone of the Haier Groups Intelligent Equipment Platformis looking for a seasoned mechanical design expert to join our core Design team. We dont just build machines; we engineer intelligent custom manufacturing ecosystems from sheet metal forming and metal product packaging to Class 1 Medical Devices. What Youll Be Doing
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer you will be a key driver in the design and delivery of our custom advanced production machinery. Your expertise will be critical from concept through to commissioning blending our rich mechanical design heritage with cutting-edge technology.
Lead the end-to-end mechanical design of complex high-speed automated production lines and manufacturing cells from initial customer requirements and concept drawings
Conceptualize and develop innovative solutions for processes including sheet metal forming assembly palletizing and material handling
Apply advanced analysis techniques (FEA etc.) to ensure robust safe and high-performance machine operation
Producing manufacture-ready drawings using 3D CAD (SolidWorks) and bills of materials
Collaborate closely with our global teams in automation project management procurement and manufacturing to deliver fully integrated seamless solutions
Supporting the build and testing of prototypes as well as supporting the building and commissioning of the full production line
Mentor and guide intermediate and junior engineers contributing to our culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Act as a technical leader in design reviews ensuring projects are delivered on-time on-budget and to world-class quality standards
Your Expertise & Qualifications
A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics or similar.
8 years of proven experience in the design of complex high-speed automated machinery or industrial equipment.
Exceptional proficiency in 3D CAD software preferably SolidWorks
Deep practical knowledge of manufacturing processes tolerances and design for assembly (DFA) and manufacture (DFM)
Strong understanding of relevant compliance standards for automated equipment
A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills with a track record of successfully leading technical projects
