But we havent forgotten where we came from or that were still a family business. Position:
We are looking for day shift Leadman for our location at 7701 Harborside Drive Galveston TX 77554.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 5PM. Note: Shift end time can be slightly later based on business needs. Must be able to work overtime.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the warehouse team and all its functions
Receive inspect check in and tag all incoming materials accurately.
Ensure all materials are properly stocked and organized in both the store and warehouse.
Train and cross-train team members to cover receiving shear saw and plasma table operations.
Coordinate pulling staging and loading of customer orders to ensure timely fulfillment.
Perform material deliveries using the company 1-ton truck as needed.
Communicate effectively with all facility personnel via radio to support efficient operations.
Enforce PPE compliance for self and warehouse personnel at all times.
Identify potential leads or customers and refer them to the sales team to complete transactions.
Perform clerical and administrative duties as required.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of railway dock and warehouse procedures.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records input data and create reports.
Physical Requirements:
- Employee is required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision and ability to adjust focus.
