The Elementary and Middle School Dean of Media & Technology Integration leadership role requires a visionary educator who is committed to fostering inquiry inclusion collaboration exploration and engagement through library media and technology integration. This position will be shared between two sites and the Dean is required to report to both sites weekly. The position is modeled after the National School Library Standards and the Future Ready Librarian competencies. The position will provide instructional leadership by empowering students as creators fostering a culture of digital learning and ensuring equitable technological access. Additionally the Dean of Media and Technology will work closely with teachers administrators and community partners to curate resources support professional learning and develop inquiry-based learning environments. A strong commitment to innovative instructional practices digital literacy and ethical information use is essential. This role requires a passionate educator who is committed to high expectations for all students from those excelling in advanced coursework. The ideal candidate will actively engage in Impact Teams using data-driven instruction to refine teaching practices provide targeted interventions and ensure student growth. A strong commitment to collaborative planning student-centered learning and fostering a supportive yet challenging classroom environment is essential. Education & Experience Bachelors degree in educational leadership or a related field is required. Experience is preferred. Candidates who possess the right knowledge experience and a strong belief that all students can achieve will be considered. Physical Requirements Ability to stand walk and move around the classroom for extended periods. Clear vision and hearing to monitor student activities and interact with students. Ability to speak clearly and project voice to address a group of students. Occasional need to lift and carry items like books supplies or equipment depending on the grade level. Instructional Technology Integration Coaches educators on effective integration of digital tools and platforms into daily instruction especially focused on supporting Canvas and IXL into daily instruction. Models blended and technology-enhanced instructional practices in classrooms Recommends and supports implementation of instructional technology aligned to curriculum goals Promotes student engagement through innovative use of educational technology Library and Media Services Manages and curates inclusive library collections and digital resources across school sites Supports student and teacher access to print and digital media aligned to standards and literacy goals Promotes reading research skills and creative expression through media services Embeds digital citizenship and research skills into library and classroom instruction Professional Development and Collaboration Designs and delivers high-impact professional learning in instructional technology and digital literacy Supports staff with onboarding and implementation of new digital tools and resources Collaborates with IT and academic leadership to align tools and training with district instructional priorities Leads initiatives that build educator capacity and promote equitable technology access for all learners
