The Washington Hilton is looking for a Rooms Coordinator to join our team!

Find this historic hotel which features 1107 rooms within blocks of Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. The White House and National Mall are less than two miles away. We feature a seasonal outdoor pool deck complete with fire pits and a kids pool.

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous leadership experience in front office and housekeeping experience using OnQ and full availability including overnights holidays and weekends.

Shift Pattern:Housekeeping Coordinator (Friday and Saturday - 6AM-2:30PM) & 2 days in Front Office (full availability needed on these days including overnights holidays and weekends)

Pay Rate: $30.70 per hour

What will I be doing

As a Rooms Coordinator you would be responsible for overseeing operations in the housekeeping and front office departments.

Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Housekeeping:

  • Provides support for the Housekeeping Room Attendants Houseman Supervisors and Management team by coordinating all of the daily work assignments and guest requests of the daily operation.
  • Monitor daily room assignments and unassigned rooms ensuring that all VIP site rooms room changes and pending rooms are completed in a timely manner and communicated to the Front Office/Housekeeping Management.
  • Daily duties will consist of preparing and distribution of assignments checklists and reports for Room Attendants Supervisors and Housemen updating the white board with pertinent information for the day preparing the next days daily and recording attendance for the department.
  • Ensure all necessary supplies are available at the coordinator desk and all daily/weekly and monthly paperwork is filed and stored correctly.

Front Office:

  • Responsible for all pre-registration room blocks and handling all special reservation requests for individuals and groups.
  • Prepares all VIP key packets and makes special arrangements as needed.
  • Resolve customer complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and the most effective resolution. Authorize revenue allowances
  • Ensure that rates comments special/guest requests are set-up correctly. Ensure routing prepare daily reports and no-shows are processed according to the event manager.
