:59 PMAs a member of CBCs Entertainment Factual and Sports (EFS) team you will play a key role in assessing and implementing potential projects initiatives or experiments involving Artificial Intelligence that are critical to delivering on CBCs mission and audience strategy.
As the Advisor AI Projects for EFS you will report to the Senior Director of Digital Streaming and Publishing and act as the AI lead for the EFS unit within CBC. You will apply business rigour and methodology to the exploration and evaluation of AI tools and processes.
You will support change management initiatives by facilitating communication between content area stakeholders. You will play a crucial role in identifying potential challenges opportunities developing mitigation strategies and supporting our people.
As AI Advisor you will work closely with teams from across EFS CBC and Radio-Canada to contribute to the maintaining and communication of guidelines and standards for the responsible use of AI as well as perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigation to senior management and colleagues working on AI within CBC.
You will collaborate closely with AI stakeholders across CBC Radio-Canada to bring opportunities from across CBC to our EFS units. Similarly you will also drive the advancement of AI literacy for our EFS staff.
To be successful in this role you will need a keen understanding of media and emerging technologies.
Main responsibilities and impact include:
Advises guides and provides support in planning implementation and assessment for projects involving AI with a focus on implications for EFS teams;
Maintain and communicate regular updates to the EFS AI Guidelines;
Guides advises and supports change management initiatives where AI is involved;
Analyzes data to identify efficiencies and optimize human material financial resources and project activities;
Assesses feasibility and identifies risks recommends mitigation solutions that take into account the organizational objectives and policies;
Close collaboration with stakeholders across EFS units senior management and AI leads from across CBC Radio-Canada;
Evaluate the time and resources required for projects and experiments in conjunction with relevant stakeholders;
Guides the definition of project metrics with stakeholders and validates the various stages of development of the project to ensure business objectives are met;
Facilitates and documents stakeholder engagement sessions to build consensus and alignment across the organization;
Ensures processes are in place to track progress against initial expectations throughout the various stages of projects; facilitates solutioning to technical and operational problems and constraints;
Assumes responsibility for all required communication including regular progress reports and flags issues for escalation as appropriate;
Respects best practices in project management and business planning to strengthen standards of quality and productivity.
Education & Qualifications Experience and Skills:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and training
Experience (relevant to the role):
Five (5) or more years of experience in project and change management or equivalent;
Two (2) or more years of experience working with generative AI tools.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and generative AI;
Experienced/familiar with traditional/waterfall Agile and hybrid project methodologies and best practices;
Experienced/familiar with creating contributing to and implementing strategic plans ;
Experienced/familiar with cross-platform content creation distribution and independent production;
Experienced/familiar with leveraging metadata-driven workflows to improve content discovery and distribution;
Analysis skills: derive business insights from data to identify and implement efficiencies and optimize business processes;
Leadership skills: positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of our audiences and aligned with strategy;
Communication skills: speak listen and write in a clear thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques that are appropriate for the audience situation and desired outcome;
Ability to understand stakeholder needs navigate seemingly conflicting requirements and manage expectations;
Resilient collaborative team-oriented results-driven.
