Overview

The Avionics Technician performs maintenance of aircraft to ensure functionality of electronic and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintenance and preventative maintenance of the aircraft electronic and electrical systems.
  • The component level/bench technicians are responsible for the maintenance and preventative maintenance of all LRUs as determined by their repair capabilities list.
  • Technicians also support the flight line and hangar as required.
  • All maintenance is performed IAW established procedures and the Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Demonstrate behavior in accordance with Endeavor Air Code of Conduct in all Company business dealings and decisions.
  • Demonstrate a high level of focus on customer service.
  • Requires contact with staff and business relationships including the FAA.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma GED or equivalent
  • Must hold a valid Airframe and Power Plant mechanics license or be eligible to apply for and receive a repairman certificate.
  • FCC license preferred
  • 1 year experience working as an Avionics Technician OR successful completion of an accredited Avionics school/program (Military training/experience is acceptable)
  • Professional work experience in the aviation mechanics preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic reliable self-motivated with a positive attitude and very customer service oriented.
  • Ability to travel internationally and passport is required within 3 months of hire. Passport expenses are paid for by the employee.
  • Ability to read write speak and understand English.
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and if position requires use of company vehicle(s) must be insurable under company insurance coverage.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be able use ladders work stands lifts multimeters oscilloscopes etc. during the performance of their duties.
  • Must be able to lift carry or move aircraft components weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work is performed at airports/outstations and various repair and material vendors.
  • Safety shoes are required and cost covered by employee.
  • Required to work nights weekends holidays and overtime as necessary.
  • Some travel required.

Minimum Position Pay Range

USD $32.00/Hr.

Maximum Position Pay Range

USD $40.20/Hr.
