Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Reports to: Campus Principal
Location: In-Person CASLV Cadence School Campus Henderson NV
Position Type: Part-Time (20 hrs/week) 10-Month (2026-2027 School Year)
Position Summary
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation diagnosis and therapeutic services to students with speech language voice and fluency disorders. The SLP collaborates with school leaders teachers families and related service providers to support student academic achievement and communication development in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and applicable state and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and re-evaluations in accordance with IDEA timelines.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals related to speech and language services.
- Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services progress monitoring and compliance records.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement classroom-based communication strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Provide consultation to staff and families regarding speech and language development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and district regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Nevada licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility for certification.
- Experience providing speech and language services in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA and special education compliance requirements.
Preferred:
- Experience working in K12 educational environments.
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities.
