Brightstar Care Knoxville is currently looking for a nurse to become part of our home care team! in the Grimsley TN (near Crossville TN)
This is a case for a quadriplegic who has a family support system and an excellent environment.
Shifts needed are (2) 12-hour day shifts and possibly (1) night shift.
Job Duties:
Creating a positive experience for the patient provide caring and professional work environment.
- Head to toe assessments
- Be able to transfer patient
- Give medications
- Assess patients to prevent skin breakdown. May provide wound care if ordered by the Plan of Care.
- Observe & report any patient changes to the Physician(s)
- Must be able to provide routine care daily as defined on plan of care
- Provide any necessary education to the patient regarding their health.
- Able to have excellent written skills; provide proper documentation in patient records.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Current LPN license (no restrictions)
- Certified in CPR
- Licensed driver with automobile that is insured
- Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision; able to follow each patient as their needs change.
- Empathy for the needs of the patient
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
- Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 12 48 per week
