This role is regionally focused innovative in nature and drives a large part of the Customer Experience foundation core to the AMXL program. AMXL Middle Mile Manager will work to drive performance metrics and projects to align with program goals partnering with leaders across the end to end AMXL vertical. This role will involve integrating with fulfillment origins sort center operations last mile operations and partners from other teams (internal and external) to create an optimal linehaul network.
Responsibilities of an AMXL Middle Mile Manager (but not limited to):
Manage Regional Line haul Transportation Operations and Program
Manage performance across multiple carriers to drive on-time delivery to last mile stations
Own and manage business goals for cost and quality improvements
Launch and manage new middle mile connectivity lanes
Drive proactive communication with carriers and operations
Execute capacity plans for medium and short term needs
Key job responsibilities
Influence third party (3P) carrier leadership and Amazon partner teams to identify and drive process improvements that improve service
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as LTP Operations and Finance to optimize supply chain flows
Stay abreast of industry trends regulatory changes and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Develop innovative supply chain solutions to increase AMXL delivery capacity reliability and High Volume Event (HVE) performance

The position is designed to ideate implement and execute innovative supply chain solutions that would create seamless flow of packages across Amazon Supply Chain. This is a high impact role with an opportunity to influence one of the most high visibility and high impact areas.
About the team
The Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) supply chain team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results to create and execute our supply chain. AMXL obsesses over customers by offering a white glove service where we deliver TVs and other large items like furniture to customers homes. Not only do we deliver large parcels we unpack assemble install and sometimes even do tests hauling away old items as needed. We are seeking an experienced leader for an exciting opportunity to work in the transportation delivery space to drive forecasting capacity planning and launching new delivery this role you will deal with ambiguity identify problem statements and develop innovative solutions to improve Customer Experience reduce cost and create a best in class home delivery network.
- Bachelors degree in supply chain business engineering finance or related technical or quantitative field
- 3 years of program or project management experience
- 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- 3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3 years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes project management and schedules

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
