Job Summary
The Service Engineer will be responsible for supporting the installation testing troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation systems used in tank and process applications. The role involves working closely with customers suppliers and internal engineering teams to ensure proper commissioning system performance and timely resolution of technical issues related to pumps motors valves and tank instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support installation testing and commissioning of tank instrumentation systems including level transmitters and sensor cabling.
- Assist in commissioning and functional testing of Pumps Motors Pressure Relief Valves (PRV) Pressure Control Valves (PCV) and related instrumentation.
- Ensure systems are installed as per engineering drawings technical specifications and safety standards.
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems and field equipment.
- Identify root causes of equipment or instrumentation issues and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct system performance checks and calibration as required.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities for instrumentation and mechanical systems.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers during service calls or operational issues.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of field service issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers and OEMs for technical clarification spare parts support and issue resolution.
- Work closely with internal engineering project and quality teams to address technical challenges during commissioning or service.
- Prepare service reports commissioning reports and technical documentation after site visits.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities testing results and troubleshooting actions.
- Ensure proper documentation for warranty claims spare parts requirements and service recommendations.
- Provide technical guidance to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure professional communication and maintain strong customer relationships during service assignments.
Required Technical Skills
A. Working knowledge of tank instrumentation systems such as LIT RDT transmitters and sensor cabling.
B. Familiarity with pumps motors PRVs PCVs and process instrumentation.
C. Basic understanding of electrical wiring instrumentation signals and troubleshooting techniques.
D. Ability to read technical drawings wiring diagrams and instrumentation layouts.
E. A degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred Experience
- 23 years of experience in field service commissioning or instrumentation support in oil & gas tank systems or process industry.
