The Calvin University School of Business invites applications for an adjunct professor to teach BUS311: Applied AI Tools for Business an applied course focusing on realworld AI tools and business technologies. Students engage with functional experts analyze practical use cases experiment with AI applications and design intelligentagent solutions that address contemporary business problems. Course content emphasizes innovation responsible use of AI and Christian reflection on technology.
This two-credit course meets during both the Fall and Spring semesters in 2026-2027 in the School of Business building. Class timing may be flexible.
Requirements:
Masters degree or above in business information systems analytics or a closely related discipline; or significant professional experience implementing AI or automation tools in practice
Experience with applied technological tools (e.g. analytics platforms AI applications business technologies)
Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using diverse pedagogies and instructional technologies.
Familiarity with technology governance automation bias and human-AI collaboration.
Commitment to Christian faith and willingness to integrate faith with learning in alignment with Calvins Reformed tradition. Candidates are expected to affirm theApostles Creed theNicene Creed and theAthanasian Creed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare course materials and employ appropriate pedagogical strategies in order to promote student success in university-level courses.
Fulfill administrative duties such as tracking attendance submitting grades and maintaining timely communication with students faculty and staff.
Comply with Calvin University employment requirements including mandatory online training modules.
