Job Summary
As the Director of Data Science at Honeywell you will be accountable for defining and executing the strategic vision for the Data Science department in alignment with the companys overall objectives. You will work with senior executives and other executive leaders to ensure the integration of data science insights into high-level strategic decision making. Your role will involve overseeing a portfolio of data science projects balancing short-term deliverables with long-term goals and driving impactful insights that directly contribute to the achievement of company-wide goals.
You will report directly to our Chief Data Officer and you will work out of our headquarters in Charlotte North Carolina on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role you will have a transformative impact on our business by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and advanced analytics to turn data into actionable intelligence that propels our business forward. You will be a visionary leader guiding the strategic direction of the entire Data Science department. Your responsibilities will extend beyond team guidance to strategic decision-making collaboration with executive leaders and shaping the organizations data and analytics strategy. - Define and execute the strategic vision and goals for the Data Science function
- Provide guidance on the selection and implementation of cuttingedge technologies in data science
- Lead crossfunctional teams to ensure the integration of data science insights into business operations
- Collaborate with executive leadership to shape the companys datadriven strategy
- Contribute to the development of organizational policies and standards related to data science
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 8 years of experience guiding teams focused on data analysis statistical modeling or another related field.
- Proven experience delivering on large complex projects.
- Strong management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and people-oriented skills.
- Bachelors degree or advanced degree in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Experience in guiding and ownership of complex data projects.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align data science initiatives with business objectives.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
