DescriptionReporting to the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Engagement the Dean of Enrollment Management provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Colleges enrollment operations including undergraduate admissions graduate and professional studies recruitment transfer enrollment strategy and institutional initiatives.
The Dean serves as a senior enrollment leader responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive enrollment management strategy that aligns recruitment retention and student success efforts to support institutional growth and sustainability.
This role supervises key enrollment units including Admissions and oversees strategic initiatives ensuring the College maintains a coordinated data-informed approach to attracting enrolling and supporting students throughout their academic journey.
The Dean must demonstrate strategic vision innovative thinking and a strong understanding of enrollment systems and data analytics particularly within Slate CRM and institutional reporting processes. This leader will guide enrollment strategy through thoughtful use of data effective operational processes and collaboration across academic and administrative units.

Strategic Enrollment Leadership
The Dean of Enrollment Management leads the institutions enrollment strategy by aligning recruitment admissions operations and retention initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive institutional enrollment strategy supporting both recruitment and retention goals.
- Lead strategic planning to increase new student enrollment and improve student persistence and retention rates through collaboration with multiple offices.
- Identify innovative approaches to student recruitment and retention through data analysis and emerging enrollment trends.
- Collaborate with academic leadership to align academic program growth with enrollment demand.
- Provide leadership in achieving institutional enrollment targets and long-term enrollment sustainability.
Admissions Leadership & Oversight
The Dean provides full oversight of the Admissions operation ensuring effective recruitment strategies and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic leadership and supervision for the Office of Admissions.
- Oversee recruitment strategies for multiple student populations including:
- First-Year Students
- Transfer Students
- Graduate and Professional Studies Students
- Readmit or Special Population Students
- Online academic program recruitment
- Ensure consistent admissions processes and standards across all populations.
- Support the development of territory management strategies and recruitment planning.
- Monitor enrollment funnel performance including inquiries applications acceptances deposits and yield rates.
Strategic Initiatives Leadership
The Dean ensures alignment between enrollment growth and institutional initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership for collaboration with institutional enrollment strategy initiatives.
- Collaborate with Academic Affairs and Student Engagement on programs designed to support student persistence.
- Monitor institutional metrics and identify strategies to address areas of concern.
- Support the development of programs that enhance the student experience and academic progression.
- Utilize predictive analytics and student success tools to improve enrollment outcomes.
Data Systems and Enrollment Technology
The Dean must demonstrate strong operational knowledge of enrollment technology systems and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure effective use of Slate CRM for recruitment strategy communication flows funnel management and reporting.
- Collaborate with enrollment leadership to maintain accurate student data within the Colleges Jenzabar Student Information System (SIS).
- Utilize enrollment data and analytics to inform decision-making and institutional planning.
- Develop regular enrollment reports and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Encourage a culture of data-informed processes and operational accountability.
Cross-Campus Collaboration
The Dean of Enrollment Management serves as a key collaborator across campus.
Responsibilities include:
- Work closely with Financial Aid to ensure strategic use of institutional scholarships and aid packaging.
- Partner with Marketing and Communications to ensure effective recruitment messaging and brand alignment.
- Collaborate with Athletics on student-athlete recruitment strategies.
- Partner with Academic Affairs on academic program development aligned with workforce needs.
- Work with and support retention efforts set by the institution.
- Support institutional strategic planning initiatives.
Leadership & Culture
The Dean of Enrollment Management plays an essential role in cultivating a culture of collaboration accountability and innovation within the enrollment division.
Responsibilities include:
- Promote a progressive positive and student-centered enrollment culture.
- Foster trust transparency and professional respect within the enrollment team.
- Encourage innovative thinking and continuous improvement.
- Support the professional development of enrollment staff and leadership.

Institutional Leadership
The Dean serves as a key advisor to the Vice President for Enrollment and Student Engagement and contributes to broader institutional initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide strategic counsel on enrollment trends and institutional growth opportunities.
- Represent the enrollment division in institutional committees and planning initiatives.
- Support major campus recruitment and engagement events including open houses and campus visit programs.
- Assist the Vice President with special projects and institutional initiatives as needed.
QualificationsDesired Education Skills and Experience
- Masters degree required; in Higher Education Administration Educational Leadership or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education enrollment management admissions or student success.
- Demonstrated experience leading recruitment and retention initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Slate CRM and enrollment data analytics.
- Familiarity with the Jenzabar Student Information System preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to develop strategic initiatives and lead collaborative teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to student success and institutional mission.
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
