McAlvain Construction a Big-D Company has an opportunity for a Safety Training Specialist to join our team of construction professionals based in the Boise ID area
INTERPERSONAL
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to identify training needs
- Foster a culture of continuous learning
- Support personal development initiatives and mentorship within the company
- Lead by example displaying exceptional peoples skills respect and the ability to teach with patience
- Function as a point of contact for training related questions troubleshooting and support
- Ability to listen actively and understand the perspectives and needs of others fostering an environment of trust and open communication.
- Provide guidance on best practices for visual communication and presentation
- Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds promoting an inclusive and respectful learning environment.
BUSINESS ACUMEN

TECHNICAL
- Proficient in creating engaging in-person and digital content including videos PowerPoints informational handouts and eLearning modules to enhance the learning experience for employees.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of training events workshops and learning opportunities.
- Facilitate instructor-led safety training for all company employees including new hire orientations refresher courses and task-specific safety training.
- Deliver training in a clear engaging and practical manner appropriate for a construction/field
- Track attendance and completion of training sessions in the companys training management
- Coordinate with safety operations and leadership teams to schedule and support training Upload employee safety training certifications sign-in sheets and supporting documentation into the companys training and safety recordkeeping system.
- Ensure training records are accurate complete and up to date for compliance audit and reporting
- Revamp existing safety orientation content to improve clarity engagement and
- Ensure all training materials reflect current company standards equipment and regulatory
- Ability to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions to enhance learning
- Utilizes data analytics tools to measure training effectiveness analyze trends and make evidence-based decisions to improve training
- Understanding of curriculum design principles including the ability to develop engaging and effective training materials tailored to adult learners in the construction industry.
- Experience managing and delivering training or facilitating groups (safety operations construction or industrial setting preferred).

- 3 years of experience in Learning and Development or equivalent
- Demonstrable experience in developing training content across multiple

- Background in construction concrete or industrial safety.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Experience managing and delivering training or facilitating groups (safety operations construction or industrial setting preferred).
