POSITION SUMMARY

The Family Business Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist for a high-level 1099 contract role. This position is a specialized research-intensive role focused on building and managing FBCGs pipeline of elite candidates for Board of Director positions within family-owned enterprises.

This role requires a unique blend of high-level executive search expertise and disciplined database management. As a career-level professional and expert in search intelligence you will act as the engine of our board search practice. Beyond identifying and mapping executive talent you will be responsible for actively pulling and presenting qualified candidates from our pipeline and database to support live board search engagements. Your focus is on sourcing and identifying qualified candidates for specific board roles. You will operate with full autonomy ensuring that consultants are equipped with a steady flow of high-caliber talent.

We are looking for a go-getter with high initiative and strong executive presence who can operate with a high degree of autonomy. The recruiter will be managing complex timelines and high-level stakeholder expectations thus exceptional project management and communication skills are highly essential.

The contractor is responsible for providing their own reliable equipment including a secure laptop (Mac or PC) and a high-speed stable internet connection capable of handling cloud-based databases and video conferencing.

This role is open exclusively to US-based contractors only.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and available to collaborate during North American business hours.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

  • Database Architecture & Pipeline Management (Priority): Dedicate approximately 5 hours per week to the strategic upkeep of our Salesforce database. This includes intake of new data enriching existing candidate profiles and auditing records to ensure the pipeline is meticulously organized and search-ready.
  • Candidate Presentation for Board Searches: Actively pull vet and present qualified candidate slates from the database to consultants for active board search engagements.
  • Strategic Sourcing & Mapping: Define and implement sophisticated sourcing strategies to identify and map passive board-level talent across diverse industries and geographies.
  • Pipeline Development: Independently manage sourcing projects ranging from 2 to 8 months maintaining a consistent flow of candidates for the firms search engagements.
  • Executive Outreach: Craft compelling highly tailored communications to engage elite passive talent as the brand ambassador for FBCG.
  • Intelligence Gathering: Utilize advanced Boolean logic LinkedIn Recruiter and niche professional networks to identify unfindable candidates in gated executive communities.
  • Consultative Support: Partner with consultants to translate complex family governance requirements into actionable search parameters and Ideal Candidate Profiles.
  • Compliance: Maintain precise records of all sourcing activities and candidate research in alignment with firm policy and regulatory guidelines.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 6 years of relevant experience in executive search talent acquisition or board-level recruiting. Specific experience within the private wealth family office or family enterprise sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration Organizational Psychology or a related field.
  • Proven mastery of advanced sourcing techniques (Boolean search LinkedIn Recruiter niche professional associations and networking within executive communities).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi-month recruitment cycles from initial discovery through to placement ensuring no details are missed in a high-stakes environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and Google Workspace. Ability to learn and adapt to new digital project management tools quickly.
  • Ability to build immediate rapport and long-term trust with high-net-worth individuals current board directors and C-suite executives.
  • A vault-like approach to confidentiality and a deep understanding of the ethical considerations involved in high-level executive search.
  • Contractor must provide their own secure professional-grade laptop and a high-speed stable internet connection suitable for video interviews.

COMPENSATION & TERM

  • Position Type: Long-term 1099 Contractor; US-based contractors only.
  • Pay Rate: $65.00 per hour.
  • Estimated Time Commitment: Ongoing database maintenance (approx. 5 hrs/week) plus variable project-based sourcing and candidate support (projects range from 28 months).
  • Autonomy: High; requires a self-directed professional capable of independent judgment and owning their box.
