Seeking a Health Information Management Director for a 47-bed acute care hospital that has been offering exceptional emergency care surgical care inpatient and outpatient services to the communities of Northern New Mexico for over 70 years. How youll contribute A Health Information Management Director who excels in this role: Directs the departments activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational and implements departmental goals plans and standards consistent with the organizations clinical administrative legal and ethical and evaluates departmental operationsincluding patient care documentation information technologies service levels and complaint managementto achieve performance and quality and monitors staffing activities including hiring orientation performance evaluation disciplinary actions and continuing education monitors and evaluates departmental budgets and ensures the department operates within allocated and oversees internal and external and fosters an environment that encourages professional the department remains focused on its critical role in the continuum of regular and reliable other duties as assigned. Additional Information:Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers clients patients contractors and to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g. HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManage the work of others including planning assigning scheduling and reviewing work ensures quality standards.
