About the Role

As part of the Application Production Support team you will help ensure the reliability and efficiency of production environments supporting critical financial systems. The role combines Production Support expertise with FinOps practices focusing on cloud cost optimization operational governance monitoring and automation.

You will collaborate with engineering infrastructure finance and business teams ensuring operational excellence while driving cost optimization and sustainable cloud usage.

Key Responsibilities

FinOps & Cost Optimization

• Monitor cloud infrastructure spending and identify optimization opportunities
• Implement cost optimization strategies including rightsizing tagging policies and commitment strategies
• Support governance initiatives to improve cloud cost transparency and efficiency

Production Support & Operations

• Provide support for production environments and business-critical applications
• Work with infrastructure components such as servers storage networking and middleware
• Troubleshoot incidents and maintain platform stability and reliability

Automation & DevOps Enablement

• Design and implement automation scripts and DevOps tooling
• Improve monitoring alerting and remediation processes
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and operational automation

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Act as a bridge between engineering operations finance and business teams
• Produce incident reports and postmortem documentation
• Support knowledge transfer and training related to production operations and FinOps practices

Technical Skills

Production & Infrastructure

• Linux environments
• WebSphere (basic knowledge)
• CFT file transfer systems
• Experience supporting production infrastructure

Monitoring & Observability

• Dynatrace (preferred) (can be done throught training before entering BNP)
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms

DevOps & Automation

• Ansible
• Terraform
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI Azure Pipelines)
• Docker / Kubernetes

Cloud Platforms

• Experience with AWS Azure or Google Cloud
• Understanding of cloud cost management and FinOps practices
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals are a plus

Data & Reporting

• Ability to work with Excel dashboards and data visualization for cost tracking and reporting
