We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator II to set up operate and maintain a variety of cutting and forming machines or robotic equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient production while maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Set up operate and monitor various machines including lathes cutters shears borers millers grinders presses and drills.
- Inspect and measure workpieces using precision instruments to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints job orders and technical specifications to determine tooling requirements and operational sequences.
- Observe machine operations and make necessary adjustments to prevent defects and ensure smooth functioning.
- Position align and secure materials or workpieces using fixtures chucks or automated feeding systems.
- Install and adjust machine components such as drills cutters dies and guides.
- Replace worn tools and machine accessories using appropriate hand tools.
- Perform minor troubleshooting maintenance and repairs; escalate major issues to supervisors.
- Maintain machines through regular cleaning lubrication and coolant replenishment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic understanding of machine operations tools and maintenance practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Knowledge of raw materials production processes and quality control standards.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 4 years of experience in machine operation or a related manufacturing role.
- This is a fully onsite role under the supervision of the hiring manager.
- Candidates must be comfortable working 2nd shift hours.
