Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital equipment and manufacturing machinery projects across multiple operational sites in Connecticut New York and Georgia with the primary base of operations in Orangeburg NY.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical project management experience within manufacturing or industrial environments particularly managing equipment installations machinery upgrades and facility improvement projects. This role requires coordination with cross-functional teams vendors equipment manufacturers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time within budget and according to operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning execution and delivery of capital equipment and manufacturing projects including scope development budgeting scheduling and risk management.
Manage manufacturing machinery initiatives including installation upgrades commissioning and operational readiness.
Oversee projects involving industrial equipment such as CNC machines heat treat furnaces and similar manufacturing systems.
Coordinate project activities across multiple sites in Connecticut Georgia and New York.
Serve as the primary project leader for the Orangeburg NY facility.
Ensure all project participants-including equipment manufacturers contractors and site maintenance teams-are properly scheduled and meeting timelines.
Work closely with Engineering Operations Maintenance Quality Assurance and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Partner with the Procurement team to obtain vendor quotes evaluate suppliers and onboard equipment manufacturers or vendors.
Monitor project milestones deliverables risks and quality standards to ensure timely completion.
Provide regular project status updates performance reports and risk assessments to leadership and stakeholders.
Manage relationships with vendors contractors and third-party service providers.
Implement continuous improvement practices and standardized project management processes.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of project management experience in manufacturing aerospace industrial operations or related industries.
Experience managing capital equipment projects or manufacturing machinery installations.
Proven experience coordinating industrial equipment implementation or facility upgrades.
Ability to manage projects across multiple geographic locations.
Strong organizational leadership communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel between supported facilities when required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management Industrial Technology or related field.
PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.
Experience with MS Project Smartsheet or similar project management tools.
Background in aerospace industrial gas turbine heavy manufacturing or industrial equipment industries.

Additional Project Notes

This is a temporary contract position with a planned duration of 1 2 years.
The Project Manager will oversee operations in Connecticut New York and Georgia with once-per-month one-day visits at each location.
The position will be based at the New York office Orangeburg NY.
The role will involve coordination of projects related to CNC machines heat treat furnaces and similar industrial manufacturing equipment.
The Project Manager will ensure all stakeholders-including equipment manufacturers contractors maintenance teams and vendors-remain properly scheduled and aligned with project timelines.
The role will also support procurement activities such as obtaining vendor quotes onboarding suppliers and coordinating internal teams to complete project tasks efficiently.
