Second in Charge English Teacher
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated teacher to take the next step in their career supporting the Head of Department while continuing to teach and shape the learning experience for students.
We are looking for a 2IC English Teacher who is passionate about empowering students fostering confidence in reading and writing and helping staff deliver high-quality engaging lessons. You will play a key role in supporting curriculum development mentoring colleagues and maintaining the departments standards of excellence.
The Role (Second in Charge English Teacher) The successful candidate will:
- Support the Head of English in leading and managing the department
- Contribute to curriculum planning teaching strategies and assessment across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Monitor student progress and help implement interventions to raise achievement
- Mentor and support colleagues fostering collaboration and sharing best practice
- Encourage students to engage with literature language and creative writing
- Help organise department events enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects
