The University of Portland School of Education invites applications for Adjunct Instructors in the following areas: Initial Educator Licensing Foundational literacy emphasizing the science of reading for pre-service elementary teachers Cognition and human development (pre-adolescent and adolescent) for pre-service teachers Social and cultural foundations Advanced Educator Licensing Reading endorsement courses for practicing teachers preparing for reading interventionist roles Special education endorsement Leadership development for principal and professional licensure This position requires course instruction with three in-person class contact hours per week per section maintaining regular availability to meet with students and participation in department orientation and trainings. Adjunct Instructors are hired on a per semester basis and teach assigned Education courses not to exceed six credit hours per semester.
