As an early business partner in our Finance team you will build the Business Finance function and serve as a strategic partner to G&A leadership. This cross-functional role involves collaborating with Legal Public Policy Finance and Facilities to drive financial planning and forecasting. We are looking for an analytical individual who can identify efficiencies fill critical gaps and define finance partnership at scale.
You will:
- Business Partnership: Develop and maintain business partnerships with leadership across Legal Public Policy Civility Finance Facilities CorpEng and InfoSec. Partner with the business teams from a strategic and operational standpoint becoming a strategic advisor and expert on risks and opportunities for the function and finance leadership
- Planning and Forecasting: Manage the G&A functions annual quarterly monthly and long-range planning (LRP) output. Provide financial planning budgeting and forecasting support including variance analysis operational support and model ownership.
- Strategy & Ops: Provide analytic support and develop actionable insights that will influence decision makers to allocate resources more effectively. Identify and drive alignment on performance indicators in order to drive financial ownership visibility and surface key operational insights. Develop reporting in partnership with stakeholders to deliver presentations influence decisions and drive alignment on key processes. Navigate and drive consensus on investment decisions or requests from the business with finance leadership or corporate financial objectives. Develop opinions and recommendations for the business to increase efficiency.
- Internal Operations: Partner with Corporate FP&A team to mature current internal financial operations processes and tools. Maintain and improve data integrity scalability reporting and analytical depth.
- Team Development: This role will manage 1 analyst and will be required to function as a player-coach with a strong hands-on work ethic to lead and improve business partnerships. We are a flat and lean finance team and there are expectations to operate as an individual contributor.
- Report to Senior Director Finance
You have:
- Bachelors degree; major in economics or quantitative field (math science finance/accounting) or have equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience in FP&A corporate finance or other strategic finance roles. Public company experience is a plus
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills; experience managing G&A functions or other functional business partnerships a plus
- Experience multiple projects and stakeholders in a cross-functional environment
- Experience developing analytical frameworks to evaluate investment decisions and communicating financial and strategic concepts to senior leadership
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail with a dedication to data integrity.
- Experience developing / automating management reports on financial and operational performance. Enthusiastic about the future of AI in Finance and interested in leveraging new tools to increase efficiency.
- Proficient with Excel and slides
- Extensive experience with Pigment or other relevant ERP solutions (e.g. Anaplan) a strong plus
- Experience with large datasets SQL Tableau and other BI tools a strong plus
