Job Summary
Requirements
- Degree in Safety Management / Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline
- A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in safety gained in railway projects or construction industry
- Possession of the qualification as Hong Kong Registered Safety Officer
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognised professional institution is preferred
- Intensive knowledge of railway safety as well as design for safety and constructability
- Able to work independently with excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese

- Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a project safety and health team to uphold the highest safety standards ensuring compliance with the corporate standards statutory requirements and industrial best practices
- Monitor the contractors in achieving safety and health standards
- Identify and mitigate safety risks according to the Project Integrated Management System requirements
- Oversee the execution of safety promotion activities to enhance safety awareness and safety culture of staff and contractors
- Prepare regular safety reports to keep management informed of safety performance
- Lead investigations into accidents to identify causes as well as making recommendations for improvement
