An independent school for girls in grades 6-12 guided by the teachings of the Catholic Church Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located in the welcoming community of Medfield 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from over 50 towns and communities. The students and their families as well as the faculty and staff are noted for their commitment to the schools mission educating young women who are called to greatness.

Montrose School seeks to appoint an experienced and innovative middle and upper school science teacher for our collegial and robust Science Department startingAugust 2026. The successful candidate will be an accomplished teacher of biology or chemistry bringing passion and enthusiasm not only for the subject matter but for coaching adolescent girls to acquire and achieve a high level of proficiency in logical scientific inquiry and investigation while fostering a growth mindset. We seek teachers who are passionate about their subjects and dedicated to guide students in strong academic habits and are committed to collaborating reflecting and growing in their teaching practice. Compelling applicants will have significant coursework in a relevant subject (a masters degree is preferred but not required) an interest in curriculum development a demonstrated interest and enthusiasm for connecting girls with opportunities for exploration of science-related professional study an appreciation for an all-girls education and teaching experience of three years or more is preferred.
