The Associate Research Analyst will support Visas North America Government Affairs team across a range of political and public policy initiatives with a focus on legislative and regulatory matters in support of the NA GA Federal team.
This role is wellsuited for a new college graduate interested in public policy government relations or political engagement who is eager to learn and grow in a fastpaced collaborative environment. Responsibilities will span administrative support event planning research writing and exposure to strategic initiatives that support Visas North America government affairs priorities.
The successful candidate will be highly organized detailoriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities. They should demonstrate strong written communication skills intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset. This role offers a strong foundation and development opportunity for someone early in their career looking to build experience in government engagement and public policy within a global organization.
While prior professional experience is not required relevant academic coursework internships campus involvement or volunteer experience related to government public policy political science or communications is strongly valued. Exposure to financial services or technology policy is a plus but not required.
The Associate will regularly support timesensitive work and collaborate with both internal and external partners making good judgment attention to detail and a willingness to learn critical to success.

Key Responsibilities
- Support drafting and editing of written materials including executive correspondence briefing materials and engagement summaries
- Assist in tracking and supporting the federal NA GA teams engagement with consultants legal counsel trade associations think tanks and other key partners
- Help support event planning for visiting Visa executives and external partners including logistics and site visits
- Conduct research and help summarize key policy issues or developments relevant to the payments industry
- Provide administrative and coordination support for the Visa Political Action Committee (PAC)
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree graduating May 2025 - August 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant internship academic or campus experience related to public policy government communications research or business
- Educational focus in public policy political science business economics or a related field (preferred not required)
- Exposure to legislative regulatory or government engagement processes through coursework internships or extracurricular involvement
- Strong writing capabilities including experience drafting research summaries briefing materials or professional correspondence
- Ability to synthesize information quickly and communicate key takeaways clearly
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with crossfunctional partners
