ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Supervisor Child Care Services this position is responsible for liaising with community agencies for providing contract development and program management budget co-ordination and monitoring; providing advice guidance direction and liaising with community partners and liaising with stakeholders to develop partnerships and programs that address community needs; performing a variety of accounting statistical and administrative functions including preparation of funding allocations agency payments accounts receivable overpayment recoveries and tracking; performing financial and statistical recording monitoring and reconciliation; ensuring target achievements and/or planning of remedial plans; reviewing and support program compliance and enhancements; providing program support; preparing business cases for new initiatives.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

  • Monitors the deliverables of service agreements changes in agency service levels and revises funding allocations according to program guidelines.
  • Implements funding recommendations within approved budget.
  • Process requests for contracts and amendments using established systems and procedures ensuring all documentation is received and proper authorization is provided. Completes contract amendments as required.
  • Updates files using Corporate filing standards.
  • Compiles statistical information related to contracts issued amended and terminated; prepares expenditure and statistical reports as directed and maintains historical records ensuring compliance to program requirements.
  • Processes payments on a timely basis.
  • Maintains contract activity tracking system as directed.
  • Enters financial and budget data in appropriate systems to generate accurate payment requisitions and expenditure detail maintains statistical and payment information related to funding allocations to service providers and provides data to support program and Branch reports and completes monthly reports as directed.
  • Promotes develops and maintains strong linkages and support among the department municipalities and social service agencies; fosters the development of programs and activities both internally and in the community.
  • Liaises with department staff agencies other Region staff and community partners regarding the implementation of program initiatives and financial related issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.

WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

  • Successful completion of a Community College Diploma or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years experience working withchildren aged zero to twelve (0-12) in a community early learning and child care or family related field with a focus on program development and planning for children community development casework management public relations project management and community initiative development.
  • Experience in development and implementation of new programs for children and families leading community projects monitoring budgets working with community partners and agencies and monitoring for compliance with agreements.
  • Experience in social and multicultural programming child/parent developmentand community networking.
  • Valid Ontario Class G drivers licence and reliable vehicle for use on corporate business.
