Summary:
Under the direction of the System Principal of Curriculum and Assessment and Principal of EQAO the Learning Partner will work with school administrators and teachers to develop implement and support School Improvement plans. The Learning Partner will plan for and deliver professional learning in Ministry initiatives that drive the UCDSB Directors Work Plan goals . Learning Partners will build educator capacity to support data collection student achievement in numeracy and literacy social-emotional learning and engagement for all students .
Responsibilities:
Support schools in the development implementation and monitoring of School Improvement Plan goals .
Support schools in the implementation of effective tier 1 tier 2 and tier 3 instruction .
Support data collection analysis and programming for student success .
Develop strategies and resources to support student and educator comfort with EQAO assessments.
Implement and support Ministry of Education initiatives that drive the UCDSBs Directors Work Plan.
Work with other Learning Partners to co-plan facilitate and support system-wide professional learning .
Assist teachers in implementing high-impact learning practices that directly impact student achievement well-being and engagement.
Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates knowledge of effective pedagogy and instructional practices in literacy and numeracy
Demonstrates broad knowledge of effective pedagogy and classroom practices that directly impact student learning self-regulation and engagement
Demonstrates experience in collecting and using data to inform instruction
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of classroom implementation of multi-tiered systems of support
Demonstrates strong knowledge and skill in the use of technology
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the Ontario curriculum
Demonstrates excellent organizational presentation and time management skills
Demonstrates exemplary interpersonal facilitation and team - building skills
Demonstrates strong initiative and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates familiarity with a wide range of assessment and evaluation practices that value observations conversations and products.
Follows the Standards of Practice and Ethical Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession
Understands research-based professional learning and its impact on student learning and achievement
Qualifications:
An Ontario Teachers Certificate of Qualification
Hold Qualifications in 2 divisions 3 preferred
Qualifications in Mathematics and/or Reading /English Part 1 an asset
Special Education Part 1an asset
ESL Part 1 an asset
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
