DescriptionThe Department of Physical Sciences at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) invites applications for a 2-year Limited Term Contract faculty position in Chemistry at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor to commence July 1 2026. TRU offers . degrees with Canadian Society for Chemistry accredited Majors in Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry. TRU also offers an interdisciplinary Major in Chemical Biology.
The successful candidate could teach a second-year physical chemistry lecture and labs first-year general chemistry lectures and labs and organic chemistry labs not currently covered by faculty.
Candidates should have a strong background in general chemistry laboratory instruction and a commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate chemistry as well as experience in undergraduate curriculum development.
RequirementsPh.D. in Chemistry (or near completion).
Established teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset.
