We support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability. We act for the roleConnect Match Support (CMS) is an important migrant support program in Victoria. CMS provides an innovative approach to supporting people seeking asylum and other migrants into employment. This role will focus on building the capability of those involved in the program to become employment ready though group work and will engage and build relationships with Victorian employers where people can be to day you will:Lead the project and deliver group work with clients using an online employment learning platformBuild relationships and engage with Victorian employers in a planned wayProvide quality casework support which identifies key client strengths needs resources available to meet those needs and the methods to assist the client to achieve meaningful change and self-agencyWhat you will bringDemonstrated sound technical knowledge and proven ability to provide high quality specialist casework support and case managementDemonstrated understanding of how to holistically assess complex client needs including conductingrisk assessments and developing effective case plans and safety planningProven ability to identify service gaps and manage complex cases within a context of competingprioritiesDemonstrated cultural competence and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced grief loss torture and trauma and who experience ongoing safety risksA sound understanding of the social political issues and needs impacting migrants in transition (including people seeking asylum trafficked people and people who have been forced into marriage).Benefits that act for you while you act for humanityFinancial wellbeing: In addition to your salary you can take advantage of salary packaging that could provide you with a great way to reduce the amount of tax you pay - and get more from your salary.
