About the role
The Senior Producer (SP) will lead the production of content for the Brooklyn Museums Bloomberg Connects app. Collaborating with staff across the entire Museum the SP will work with cross-departmental stakeholders artists thought-leaders in the community and external voices to tell stories about the Museums special exhibitions and permanent collection. As lead content strategist and producer for the Bloomberg Connects app the SP will oversee a multimedia content program (with a particular emphasis on audio) including researching and writing thematic proposals and scripts talent coordination and vendor relations project management audio and video production (including pre- and post-production phases) and publication. The SP will deploy their finely tuned storytelling skills to make Brooklyn Museum content fun informative and accessible to art lovers around the world.
This is a grant-funded role available through December 31 2027
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the content planning production publication and evaluation for the Museums presence on the Bloomberg Connects app
  • Work with Marketing & Communications team members partners across the Museum and outside contributors and vendors to develop and execute audio guides and other digital content designed to enrich visitors experiences
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Audio & Video Producer to ensure all content is in line with institutional content strategies and branding and cross-distributed across platforms when possible
  • Develop content strategy for Bloomberg Connects including identifying and prioritizing objects in exhibits to highlight; determining best content formats (text audio visual other) to tell the story of works of art; and tailoring content to meet target audience needs and motivations
  • Lead all phases of content production including pre-production for all audio content to appear in the Bloomberg app e.g. brainstorming research and scripting; production including audio recording or working in studio; and post-production including editing and sound design
  • Identify opportunities to adapt Bloomberg Connects content for messaging campaigns wider cultural events breaking news and/or memes across other platforms owned by the Museum including social media website and email
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts aimed at digital accessibility for Bloomberg Connects.
  • Strategize the use of archival content including from ASK Google Arts & Culture and other sources for Bloomberg Connects.
  • Oversee evaluations and data-driven reporting including metrics for success based off of goal and KPI definition usage tracking and overall performance of digital guides
  • Ensure all audio content and collateral materials are logged maintained and archived in a standardized process and support logistics are executed in a timely manner
  • Serve as primary point of contact with Bloomberg Connects including creating grant reporting documents in closes collaboration with the Development team
Requirements:
  • 57 years of digital content production experience at a media outlet and/or the digital wing of a mission-driven organization
  • Demonstrated experience in audio production including scriptwriting recording editing and sound design
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Exceptional attention to consistency and detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills proven ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines
  • Capacity to managedifferent workstreams and projects simultaneously balancing short- and long-term deadlines
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Experience with managing and mentoring a junior colleague is preferred
  • Strong research writing and communication skills
  • Strong computer and mobile device literacy
  • Commitment to working as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities
