Position Overview
Navitas Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst Consultant to support operations for a legacy Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) environment. This role will focus on system support reporting analytics and testing activities for Medicaid-related applications and subsystems. The analyst will collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure operational stability troubleshoot issues and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver technical solutions that support operational needs.
Develop retrieve and distribute reports and datasets for monitoring reconciliation and operational processing.
Provide operational support for legacy MMIS systems and related applications.
Respond to stakeholder inquiries monitor requests and coordinate activities between business and technical teams.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system enhancements.
Perform complex system analysis design support and testing activities.
Review QA and user acceptance testing results and document issues or defects for resolution.
Identify risks issues and trends and escalate concerns to program management as needed.
Collaborate with internal teams vendors and external stakeholders including healthcare organizations and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Business Healthcare or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of Medicaid or healthcare industry experience particularly with claims and provider operations.
COBOL programming experience.
3 years of experience working with healthcare payer mainframe systems in a technical analyst or similar role.
3 years of experience with EDI transactions including companion guide management.
Experience supporting Medicaid eligibility and/or enrollment systems in an operational capacity.
Understanding of MMIS functionality and processes.
Preferred Qualifications
Subject matter expertise in MMIS operations.
Experience with data analysis tools such as SAS Excel data visualization tools or statistical software.
Experience preparing technical and operational reports and communicating results clearly.
