Matrix Providers is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) as a third-party contractor for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Clinicians in this role conduct Compensation and Pension (C&P) medical disability examinations for veterans who have filed disability claims.
Location: Kennewick WA
About the Role:
As a VES Clinical Psychologist you will evaluate veterans physical and mental health conditions review their medical history and document findings using standardized VA forms. Your completed exam reports will be submitted to the VA to assist in determining service-connected conditions and disability ratings. This role is strictly for evaluation and reporting. Clinicians do not provide treatment or make disability decisions.
You will also conduct psychological exams and complete applicable Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) which help the VA collect necessary medical information for processing veterans disability claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct VA-requested medical disability (C&P) exams
- Review veterans medical records and claimed conditions
- Perform focused physical or mental health assessments
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Submit exam reports to the VA to assist with disability rating decisions
Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in Psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) OR Doctorate in Medicine from a recognized college with completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry
- Active state license in good standing
Required Testing/Exam Expertise:
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Mental Disorder evaluations
- Eating Disorder assessments
- Neuropsychological Testing
