ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

THE ROLE

The selected candidate will provide administrative and technical support to the division by assisting with records management digitization of historical documents and organization of project files related to capital improvement construction projects. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate accessible records that support inspections environmental compliance bond exoneration line locates and construction management activities.

Pay Considerations
The hourly pay for this position is $14 - $19 (based on education level)

Work Schedule
This position is scheduled to work up to 28 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. with the possibility of occasionally working weeknights and weekends to attend outreach events.

Part-Time/Temporary Position

  • This position is a part time/temporary position and does not include health or medical benefits.
  • Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year (see weekly hours for this position under work schedule).

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a currently enrolled or recently graduated student at an accredited college or university pursuing a diploma certificate or undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a closely related field. This individual has a strong interest in public infrastructure construction projects and records management within a municipal environment.

They are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) comfortable working with digital scanning and document management systems and eager to learn new software and databases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and able to perform quality control checks with accuracy and consistency. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential along with the ability to support research reporting and general administrative functions within the division.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Current enrollment in any of the following degree programs: civil engineering or construction management or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
  • Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • A valid Nevada drivers license
