The Department of Political Science and Security & Conflict Lab at Emory University invite applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellowship beginning in Spring or Summer 2026. The inital appointment is for one year with a possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
Primary duties of the postdoc will be to support research activities related to two grants that Prof. Renard Sexton is executing regarding deterrence in the Indo-Pacific region. There will also be interactions with Prof Sextons Security and Conflict Lab. The Fellow will also participate in the academic activity of the department and will have time to conduct their own research.
Familiarity with Taiwan Asia Pacific security issues field experimental methods and quantitative causal inference are preferred but not required.
Salary is competitive. Ph.D. must be in hand before beginning the appointment. On site availability in Atlanta is preferred though certain hybrid work schedules are negotiable.
