ImpactX is on a mission to bring circularity to industrial scale in high tech. Based in the Brainport Eindhoven region we work with leading OEMs suppliers knowledge institutes and government bodies to accelerate the circular transition across the high-tech sector.

What sets us apart from traditional consulting is how we work: through productized services and modular building blocks. This allows us to deliver deep tailored impact for individual companies while building scalable solutions that drive the entire ecosystem forward.

We are in a rapid growth phase. Our programs have proven their value with a strong base of leading high-tech companies and we are ready for the next step: expanding our impact by deepening client relationships developing new value propositions and entering new market segments. To fuel this growth we are creating a dedicated Business Development role.

The Role

As Business Developer you will be the driving force behind growing the impact and revenue of ImpactX. This is a consultative business development role. You operate at the front where opportunities are not yet defined but need to be deeply understood shaped and turned into compelling value propositions.

You will develop a deep understanding of our clients circular ambitions challenges and business context. From that understanding you create new value propositions from zero always thinking in modular building blocks and productized services. Your insights from client interactions directly feed into ImpactXs product development ensuring that what we build is rooted in real client needs.

You will progressively take over the business development function from our CEO who will transition into a coaching and supporting role. You will own the client relationship from the first meeting onward shaping scope leading proposals and closing deals.

What You Will Do

  • Deepen relationships with existing clients and develop follow-up value propositions tied to their circular strategy and maturity.
  • Bring new high-tech companies on board (OEMs tier-1 suppliers) developing accessible entry propositions where needed and opening new market segments.
  • Translate client signals into new proposition directions in close collaboration with the product development team.
  • Stay involved through proof of concept and first delivery validating and iterating until the proposition is ready to scale.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships with strategic clients and stay connected throughout the projects we execute together with them.

What We Expect From You

Experience & Background

  • 7 years of relevant experience in business development consultative selling or commercial roles in a B2B environment.
  • Proven track record in consultative selling shaping propositions in ambiguous complex client contexts. Experience doing this in a small company or entrepreneurial setting is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing a commercial pipeline from first conversation through proposal to signed deal.
  • Background in or strong affinity with the high-tech industry particularly B2B manufacturing and equipment building.
  • Background in circularity. Deep subject matter expertise is not required but an understanding of the strategic importance of circularity is essential.
  • Experience scaling an organization from rapid-growth phase to a more structured stage is a strong advantage.

  • Consultative selling: active listening asking the right questions surfacing opportunities and communicating concepts in an engaging and clear manner.
  • Strong commercial acumen driven by closing deals and growing impact.
  • Ideation and concepting: generating and shaping new value proposition directions from client signals.
  • Senior stakeholder engagement: operating comfortably at executive level engaging decision-makers with budget authority.

  • Relationship builder. You create genuine long-term client trust by deeply understanding their ambitions and challenges.
