Job Summary
The Hybrid Account and Sales Area Manager (SAM) is a proactive individual contributor with a focus on boosting revenue growth and nurturing customer success throughout a specific territory within France as well as driving growth shape customer relationships and work across a cross-functional team to execute account plans that expand Emersons footprint in key industries such as Electrical Machinery. This position involves thoughtful planning effective implementation and working closely with NI resources distributors and solution & integration partners. The Hybrid SAM will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive growth plan using both direct and indirect sales channels to expand NIs market presence and grow top tiers account. This position reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager.
- Drive Customer Growth & Strategic Execution
- Develop and execute creative high-impact account strategies and account plans that consistently generate strong (double-digit) growth.
- Identify and articulate Emerson T&Ms differentiated value to influence technical and business decisionmakers at multiple levels.
Lead customer engagements through platform discussions strategic consulting and technical conversations on innovative test technologies.
- Lead Account Team Collaboration
- Drive a coordinated company-wide strategy through collaboration with:
- Engineering & Technical Consultants
- Business Development Managers
- Marketing teams
- Partners and Channel Ecosystem
- Transportation & Portfolio Business Units
- Coach and influence cross-functional teams celebrating shared wins and developing team capabilities.
- Territory Management & Sales Execution
- Develop and implement growth plans such as pipeline account planning and forecasting
- Identify and drive new business opportunities
- Lead demand generation with marketing and deliver technical sales presentations
- Manage short- and medium-term sales cycles and operate demo hardware as needed
- Customer & Partner Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with technical and executive stakeholders
- Align NI solutions with customer needs and ensure success throughout the lifecycle
Collaborate with solution integration partners distributors and resellers
- Channel & Ecosystem Engagement
- Work with NIs channel team to expand the partner ecosystem
- Propose new partnerships and support effective route-to-market strategies
- Foster local LabVIEW and NI user communities
- Market Development and Planning
- Plan and carry out customer-facing events (webinars seminars user groups)
- Align with internal teams on critical initiatives and monitor industry trends
- Develop localized marketing plans and leverage government funding opportunities
- CRM & Forecasting
- Maintain accurate Salesforce records and provide reliable forecasts
- Track sales activities and ensure pipeline health and data integrity
You serve as a strategic partner to build grow and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders. You persist in the face of challenges and setbacks.
- 3 years experience in technical sales field or application engineering
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
- Test & Measurement experience ideally with NI platform
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for technical and executive engagement
- Ability to align technical solutions with customer objectives
- Entrepreneurial proactive and forward-thinking
- Proficient in French and English.
- Willingness to travel extensively within France
- Based in Lyons area (France).
- Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML IoT and 5G.
- Experience in the life sciences and medical field.
- Experience in community engagement through conferences blogs or user groups.
- Knowledge of government or public sector funding programs.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Understanding of SaaS or subscription-based business models.
