Job Summary

We are seeking fivededicated Exams Invigilators to join our Registry team at DN Colleges this flexible sessional role you will play a vital part in ensuring that internal and external examinations are delivered in line with awarding body requirements and college procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a customerfocused environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

This is a variable hours contract based at Doncaster College.

Essential Criteria

  • A good standard of education.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to use initiative when required.
  • Tact and diplomacy when dealing with students and staff.
  • Accurate professional and attentive to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect examination materials from the Exams Officer at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Prepare the examination room ensuring desks are set up correctly clocks are visible and equipment is ready.
  • Admit candidates verify identification and ensure Statements of Entry are checked.
  • Distribute exam papers and materials in accordance with procedures and awarding body regulations.
  • Display exam information clearly including start and finish times.
  • Complete required documentation such as seating plans and attendance registers.
  • Supervise candidates by patrolling quietly and maintaining a calm exam environment.
  • Arrange scripts in register order and return all materials to the Exams Office after each session.
  • Invigilate online examinations as required.
  • Undertake mandatory training relevant to the role.

The LETs Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team capturing their experimentation in a journal.
