Summary
- The Educational Psychologist (EP) will undertake additional statutory assessments to support local authority requirements on a 3-month contract. This role is dedicated to face-to-face assessment work providing flexibility throughout the week to manage the caseload. The EP will deliver high-quality psychological assessments reports and professional advice that contribute to Education Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and decision-making for children and young people.
- Complete three statutory assessments per month in accordance with legislation and local authority timelines.
- Conduct face-to-face assessments including direct work with children and young people observations and consultations with parents carers and school staff.
- Provide clear evidence-based psychological advice to support EHC needs assessments.
- Produce high-quality written reports within required deadlines.
- Ensure all assessment work meets statutory requirements professional standards and safeguarding protocols.
Requirements
Experience:
- Conducting statutory psychological assessments for children and young people.
- Producing high-quality written psychological advice for EHC needs assessments.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Educational Psychology (or equivalent).
- Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- Location: Time Square RG12 1JD
- Three assessments per month
- Paid at a rate equivalent to two days per assessment (to cover assessment report)
- Face-to-face assessment only
- Flexible scheduling across the week
