$86600 -$147048 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)

What we are looking for:

Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Catherine McAuley College in the position of Food Technology Teacher. This is a full-time continuing position to commence Term 2 2026 (20th April 2026) or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

The ability to deliver a Cert II in Hospitality would be highly regarded but not essential. The college will provide support to the successful applicant to obtain this qualification if required.

  • Appropriate qualities knowledge and skills to provide a relevant and holistic education
  • Eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
  • A desire to serve the communities located within the diocese of Rockhampton

The role of a teacher is to provide quality education and care for secondary school students at Catherine McAuley College. The ideal candidate understands Catholic Educations mission can design differentiated teaching strategies uses data to guide improvement and collaborates effectively with colleagues parents and the community.

Catherine McAuley Collegeopened its doors in 2022 in order to meet the growing demand for a quality Catholic Education in the Mackay with pioneering Year 7s in 2022 they will grow into a complete Years 7 to 12 profile by 2027.
